What do you want?

The articles for the next issue of The Miniature Builder  are pretty much planned out by now and some of them are already written.

In Praise of 1/32nd
A military scale just right for buildings

Scale or effect
How accurate should we be?

Gulf Buildings in Miniature
A fascinating range of resin buildings

Where we go after that will be influenced by the feedback we get from readers like you.     Write and tell us by e-mail  to  editor@MiniatureBuilder.com or if you are a producer or retailer anxious to see your products featured send samples for review to by post to 10 Montague Road, Berkhamsted, Herts, HP4 3DS, England.

To begin with, we are particularly interested to look at the alternative wall finishes - bricks, blocks, tiles and other forms of cladding and at doors and windows, whatever the scale.  A comparative article on brick finishes is already started in draft but more material is always welcome.

Other subjects on the workbench are further "In praise of" features on 1/76th scale and on the modelling of facades.   I would very much like to see someone else prepare a robust defence in praise of the virtues of 1/12th scale - which I would personally struggle to write.  Another feature still in an early concept stage is a piece on making a collection of doorways.

Or, if you are feeling ambitious, please submit an article to us for publication.  You won't get paid for writing but you will have the satisfaction of having your views on model buildings or a display of your treasured work in a sympathetic environment.

The article I would most like to see from a contributor is something on the world of professional architectural modelling - what the pro thinks of us amateurs, what the hobbyist could learn from the professional and, just maybe, if there is anything  the professional can  learn from the amateur enthusiast.

So let us know how you would like  The Miniature Builder  to develop by writing to us at editor@MiniatureBuilder.com
